HCBFFA Customs Committee


HCBFFA Education/Luncheons Committee
Establish programs to educate members in technical aspects of the industry as well as general business areas making them more efficient. Education committee determines the speakers and topics for the monthly luncheons and trainings seminars as well as set up tours to further training with a hands on experience. HCBFFA offers periodic port tours.

HCBFFA Legislative Committee
Opens the lines of communication with national, state and local elected officials and groups representing our industry. Obtains political assistance when necessary in furthering the purposes of the Association. This committee works with National Customhouse Brokers and Freight Forwarding Association (NCBFAA) on issues that will affect our industry when necessary.


HCBFFA Nominating Committee
HCBFFA FDA/PGA Committee
Direct interaction with all Participating Government Agencies (PGA’s) at the management level to aid in the fair, reasonable and equitable administration of PGA laws and regulations.

HCBFFA Golf Committee
The golf committee determines the date, place, prizes and menu for the Annual golf tournament. This committee is responsible for setting everything up for the Golf tournament and sending out info regarding this tournament.
This is our fund raiser for our scholarship program.


HCBFFA Membership Committee
To promote and solicit new memberships for the Association. To determine the benefits for membership.


HCBFFA Public Relations and Outreach Committee
To promote and report the Association’s activities to the media where appropriate. This committee also reaches out and participates in various conferences or trainings given by other industry groups.

HCBFFA Scholarships Committee
We solicit applications and award scholarships to deserving candidates to further their education in the transportation and logistics industry. Scholarships are awarded to attend the NCBFAA GAC and Texas Brokers conferences. We also provide and assist with funding to local college and universities with transportation and logistics programs.

HCBFFA Freight Forwarding Committee
Address concerns of freight forwarders with the Federal Maritime Commission and other government agencies to aid in the fair, reasonable and equitable administration of maritime laws and regulations.
The President of the Association serves as EX-Officio on all committees
